Jean-Yves Pikulik

Jean-Yves Pikulik is a registered patent agent practicing serving clients in the field of high technology. Jean-Yves has a B. Eng degree in Computer Engineering from McGill University and is registered to practice before the Canadian and US patent offices.

Jean-Yves has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of telecommunications, image processing, consumer products and electronic devices for both large corporate clients and start-ups according to their respective needs. Jean-Yves also has unique industry experience in the area of IP asset monetization and management. His past tasks have included deriving licensing revenues from patent infringers for a small technology company, initiating and negotiating settlements in patent disputes, selling or licensing out patent assets to non-practicing entities, assessing patent assets for merger/acquisition, and managing IP rights transfer in the context of technology licensing. He also has experience in developing and managing patent portfolio for revenue-generation.

Jean-Yves is a member of the Licensing Executives Society and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. He is fluent in English and French.
